

Our first
through sixth grade students are creating art inspired by the work of great
American artists. Along with hands-on
exposure to various art media and techniques, the children are learning about
artists through art reproductions, books, and biographical information.

Some of the American
artists that we’re discovering are Alexander Calder, Winslow Homer, Keith
Haring, Mary Cassatt, Frank Lloyd Wright, Andy Warhol, Louise Nevelson, John
James Audubon, Jackson Pollack, Anna Mary Robertson (Grandma) Moses, Edward
Hopper, and many others.

Some classes will also explore and create
artwork in the style of our Native American people.
